Meet Our Team
Bev
Beverly is the Office Manager at Kelly and Kelly. Beverly is a responsible for managing our office and administrative team, as well as handling billing matters for our clients. She is a welcoming face for long time and new clients, as Beverly has been with the firm since 2005. She has been a contributor to the firm’s success and growth over the years.
Beverly is married with two adult children. When not at work Beverly enjoys going to local farmers markets and escaping up north.
Jamie
Jamie is the Lead Legal Assistant for our Family Law Team, with more than 8 years of experience in the legal field. Prior to joining Kelly & Kelly in 2017, Jamie worked in bankruptcy law. As a legal assistant, Jamie spends a great deal of time assisting our attorneys and clients in navigating the legal process from beginning to end. Jamie is often the first person on our team that a new client will meet, and her calm and welcoming demeanor help ease clients in the process. Jamie is also planning to expand her skill set and begin paralegal classes in the spring.
Jamie loves escaping to Lake Michigan with a good book as much as she can, you can also find her enjoying a round of golf, new restaurants, and cheering on the Detroit Lions.
Liz
Elizabeth is a paralegal in our family law department, and her primary role is assisting the family law team in discovery, case preparation and client support. Elizabeth’s talents have also been utilized in the probate and criminal practice groups. Elizabeth enjoys the fast pace of family law and guiding clients through one of the most difficult times in their life.
Elizabeth grew up in Michigan but now currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah where she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, and exploring new restaurants.
Marti
Marti is the lead legal assistant of a multi-dimensional criminal law, juvenile law, and school law department. Along with her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (with a focus on Juvenile Justice), Marti has experience with complicated criminal defense cases including drunk driving offenses, juvenile court issues, school-based disciplinary and Title IX cases. Additionally, Marti has in depth knowledge of Driver’s License Administrative Appeals for license restoration cases as well as circuit court appeals on administrative denials. During her time at Kelly & Kelly, Marti has played an integral part in the advocacy defense of each client and provides the support and confidence those going through turbulence in their life can rely upon.
In her free time, Marti enjoys going to concerts with her boyfriend, reading, and Pilates.
Lauren
Lauren is a paralegal and is a second-year law student at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Before moving to the Lower Peninsula to attend law school, she was born and raised in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Lauren attended Bay de Noc Community College where she earned an Associate in Arts Degree in Business Administration. She was an All-American Scholar Athlete and team captain on Bay’s women’s cross-country team. After attending Bay, she transferred to Northern Michigan University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science with a Pre-Law Concentration.
While earning her undergraduate degrees, Lauren worked for multiple law offices, including a prosecuting attorney’s office, a public defender’s office, and a small firm that handled primarily civil litigation and criminal defense work. Since beginning law school, Lauren has become a member of the Federalist Law Society and has achieved top scores in a handful of her classes, including Negotiations and Tactics in Law and First Amendment Law. She anticipates graduating from Detroit Mercy in May 2024.
