John P. Kelly – Civil Litigation Arbitrator/Mediator

John Kelly

John is a Senior Partner at Kelly & Kelly, P.C., and has nearly 30 years of experience handling complex cases in both Michigan and California. John has substantial experience in estate planning, civil litigation, contracts, commercial law, business law and real estate. He holds a certificate of completion from the State Bar of Michigan in probate and estate planning and is licensed to practice law in the States of Michigan and California. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the State Bar of California, the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. John is a neutral/arbitrator in commercial cases with the American Arbitration Association.

As a mediator/arbitrator/neutral, John handles a variety of civil disputes including:

John spent several years practicing as a CPA with multinational accounting firms and then as an attorney in a large law firm prior to starting Kelly & Kelly, P.C. with his wife Michele in 1998. His accounting and financial knowledge complement his legal skills to benefit both parties seeking a resolution through mediation.

Michele D. Kelly – Family Law Mediator & Parenting Time Coordinator

Michele Kelly is also a Senior Partner at Kelly & Kelly, P.C., and has extensive experience in family law and criminal law. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and holds a certificate of completion from the State Bar of Michigan in Family Law. Michele has served on the board of directors for the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan organization and is also on the faculty of Michigan’s Institute for Legal Education (ICLE). September 16, 2011, Michele was the presenter at the ICLE Solo & Small Firm Institute for Handling an MIP Case, and is frequently enlisted as a public speaker on legal topics affecting young people. Michele has completed a 40-hour course on Domestic Relations Mediation and an-8 hour course in Domestic Violence Screening. Ms. Kelly has 28 years experience in family law and is available for mediation of divorce, paternity, custody and parenting issues.
